Mrs. Bola Ojo is an education management consultant, a Director of a Sickle Cell Cohort Research (SCORE) project in Nigeria and Collaboration for Health Advancement Innovation Research (CHAIR) a health NGO.

She obtained a degree in law at the University of Lagos in 1977. She was called to the Bar in 1978. In 1980, she obtained her first Masters degree (LLM) Laws from University College, London. She worked in a range of positions with the Greater London Council and several London boroughs. She holds a certificate in counselling and a teaching certificate in Further Education. An experienced trainer and management consultant, she obtained a second Masters degree (MSc) in Business management in 2002. She has broad based experience in community education and was responsible for Youth services including implementation of projects to reduce teenage pregnancy, youth employability and career guidance. She retired as Head of Lifelong Learning and Youth Services in Bexley which focused on adult education and management and now runs a project management consultancy with a focus on education and health.

Bola was on the Board of Governors at a London FE College and is chair of a gender based voluntary organisation- Women in Action (WiNA). She is involved in the Non Communicable Diseases (NCD) Alliance and active in CVD prevention and control in Africa through the African Heart Network. She spent time a volunteer in Rwanda in 2007 with VSO as an education management consultant with the Ministry of Education to support the post- genocide rebuilding of the education system and more recently as a VSO volunteer in northern Nigeria.
